Trick or Treat Bags
Last year I wanted to make Rowan a bag for trick or treating, and never got around to it (of course). So after Halloween I bought some fabric on clearance to make some bags for both boys for this year. I finally got around to doing it this week, I thought they looked a little big, but after seeing the sizes of some of the bags they had at Target, I think they are just fine! Rowan is requesting the one with the orange, hopefully we can fill them up!!

Baby Shoes
I made these for my cousin's baby boy. I was suppose to do the heel in the other fabric, but messed it up- oh well!

Pink Stripe Bag
This one was for my sister, Rowan didn't do the best job of modeling it... It's pink stripes on the outside and a pink flower on the inside- I love the stripes! i like it better than the one I made my mom but still find the handles too wide, apparently I have issues with patterns!

Cherry Purse
This purse is for my mom- to use as a bag not really a purse. She bought the fabric, it's really not my style at all. I used the same pattern as the blue purse I made myself, but this time I followed it exactly (last time I didn't have enough fabric), The bottom of the straps are way too wide, it'll work for what she wants it for but I will keep my original adjustments on the next one...my sisters coming soon....

Headband- take 2
I cut the fabric and had most of this done months ago (like the day after I made the first headband). I don't even remember now why I hadn't finished it, but now it's done. Rowan graciously agreed to be my model- actually he BEGGED! I think his curls look pretty good with the headband :) So after I finished I realized I had messed up. 1-I totally didn't use a coordinating fabric for the brown side so the white is a bit noticeable, oh well that side I'll just wear at home. 2- When you cut these you taper the top of the headband so it is wide on the top and gets thinner as it goes down by your ears, somehow mine is thin at the top and wide by both ears- this was a part I did months ago, s don't know what I was possibly thinking- oh well!
"You look so pretty!"
2nd Pair- baby Shoes
I finally got around to making another pair of baby shoes. It was much easier the 2nd time, I love them! I used a canvas type fabric on the bottom hoping that will make them less slippery. I also put a waterproof layer in the middle in case he walks outside and the grass is damp, this will keep his socks dry ( genuis right? yeah if only I had thought to do it on the top too, since he doesn't walk yet it is more likely the top of his foot will get wet, oh well).
Doesn't Eli look like he's been tanning here? Our living room light is awful!

Blue Paisley Purse
I actually made this purse a few weeks ago, but never took any pictures of it. So I apologize for the quality of these pictures. I LOVE this purse, I made the handle longer on purpose so I could wear it across my chest/shoulder, although it is a little too long, but still works. It's big enough to hold 1-2 cloth diapers, travel wipes, an extra outfit for Eli, a small blanket, and my wallet and checkbook, and I'm sure there is a lot more useless stuff in there too.
The only major drawback is there is no zipper, snap or other closure so it's just open- see how easily Eli is taking ouyt my wallet? I might need to learn how to make it close for the next one, yes there will definetly be a next one- I've already picked out the fabric I want, but first I have to make my sister and my mom one....

Sweater Scarf
I found the book Sew Subversive at the library, and got this idea from it. We went to Goodwill and I bought some sweaters that were cute, but wouldn't fit me anyway so I didn't feel bad about cutting them up. It's cute, not the best scarf ever, but I like it- for now!
Apron
I saw this tutorial and decided to try it, I've been wanting to make an apron since I made Rowan's for Christmas, but haven't gotten motivated yet. Plus, I DID promise my sister one for Christmas- it's coming Ab I promise!! I thought this would be pretty easy since it's just a half apron, it's not too bad. A little frumpy from me trying to gather it- something I don't know how to do. I don't care for the fabric, so my mom gets it- yeah mom!! I'm going to make it again with fabric I like- since I know I can do it.

Headband
I found this tutorial and it actually looked pretty easy so I decided to try it. Wow it really was easy, I will definetly be making this again. It's even reversable!! Ignore the crappy pics, it's actually kind of hard to take a picture of your own head!
